Rob McBride

Rob McBride (B.Mus. with Elective Studies in Theology from Wheaton College (IL); M.A. in Biblical Studies from Providence College) joined the SPX parish team in the spring of 2022, relocating with his wife and their four children from Rhode Island to serve as Director of Music, which includes oversight of audio technology and livestreaming.  Prior to serving at SPX, Rob taught middle and high school courses for sixteen years, directed middle and high school choirs for eleven years, and was a campus minister for four years.  In addition, Rob has much experience in church music ministry and found a new appreciation for audio/visual ministries due to the pandemic. Rob’s priorities in ministry include fostering community, serving others, and resting in the power of prayer. He also enjoys blending music of diverse styles, time periods, and cultures. Rob is excited to connect with you to see how you might serve the music and/or audio/visual ministries of SPX!

Besides serving at SPX, Rob is also an adjunct instructor at New England Institute of Technology, teaching online courses in popular music and culture. Rob also enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with his family playing basketball, kickball, and board/card games.
